The Sutton Complementary Health Network is made up of local Complementary Therapists who are Qualified and Insured in the London Borough of Sutton Surrey and neighbouring areas.

The Sutton Complementary Health Network (SCHN) with the backing of the Sutton
Community Art Space (www.SamiArt.co.uk) and Times Square Centre launched
Health Awareness earlier in the year. After the first two succcessful months and they will be holding another Health Awareness month in November 2011

The Sutton Complementary Health Network (SCHN) comprises of local qualified and
insured complementary practitioners in the London Borough of Sutton. Together they
unite as local businesses for the benefit of the community as Ambassadors for Health and
Positive change.

This initiative will provide the residents of Sutton with advice on where to go locally for complementary and alternative health practitioners ranging from Acupuncturists, Homeopathy, Massages, Osteopathy, Aromatherapy, Nutritional Therapy, NLP & Life Coaching.
Throughout October 2011, locals can sample these therapies free of charge through taster sessions which are planned to be held in the shop in the Times Square Shopping Centre in Sutton High Street at lunchtimes and weekends.

Free Taster Sessions and lectures will include some of the Following:

• Colour Therapy
• Blood Pressure Testing & Nutritional Support
• Talks on Healthy Eating
• Pregnancy Support & Advice
• Weight Loss
• Stress Reduction Techniques
• Reiki
• Healthy Food Tasting

• Mental Health Advice
• Homeopathy for families

Donations will be taken for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Sutton.

In May 2009, Mobile Massage Therapist Theo Theodoris became Chairman of The Network.

Theo's first contribution as Chairman was to help raise awareness of the The Network and St. Raphael's Hospice in North Cheam. The idea was to donate a percentage of the treatment fee to St Raphael's through the month of June when St Raphael's was mentioned when booking. The "Simmer for Summer" initiative was launched on 3rd June 2009 at The Sutton Chamber's VIP breakfast Meeting at The Holiday Inn.

It proved to be very popular and very different, as you were able to have a massage, reflexology, homeopath session etc knowing at the same time you were helping St Raphael's Hospice.

In 2010 Theo organised "Theo's Magic Sunflower Competition" with support from The Sutton Complementary Health Network and raised £2160. This was split between The Neonatal Unit at St Helier Hospital Carshalton Surrey and The Royal Marsden, also in Carshalton Surrey. 

For the second year running membership has increased again.
