Homeopathy was developed by a German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann, at the end of the 18th century.  It works on the principle that ‘like cures like’. It is used all round the world, especially in India, France and Holland.  Hahnemann discovered a way to safely use substances that are otherwise considered inert or poisonous. He developed the system where the substances are successively diluted and shaken, to make them safe to use. What he also discovered is that this made them more potent, so they acted more quickly.

Homeopathy has a great deal to offer in all situations and can be used as an alternative to many conventional medicines. Homeopathic medicines can be taken during pregnancy without worry about side effects or effects on the baby, and while mothers are breast feeding, medicines given to the mother also treat the baby.  Homeopathy helps prevent the cycle of repeated courses of antibiotics that can easily become the norm with young children, as they come into contact with new germs in the process of maturing the immune system while building immunity to disease.
