I am a qualified Acupuncturist having gained my qualifications at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, an accredeted college bythe British Acupuncture Council.

I have always been involved healthcare since training as a nurse and believe that in order to maintain health and wellbeing, a holistic approach to the care of the whole body is vital. Alternative therapies are a helpful and complimentary addition to orthodox medical treatments particularly when it comes to pain.

I have travelled extensively in Asia, with my family, and have held many challenging and rewarding roles in Korea, the Philippines and Indonesia, including a senior position with the American Red Cross and director of a Women’s Health Clinic.

As well as body acupuncture I am fully trained in Auricular acupuncture which can aid in the treatment of many conditions and is particularly good for pain relief using many different techniques which have been developed since the 1970′s in Hong Kong and America. Among these is the well known NADA protocol for the treatment of addictive conditions including weight loss, stopping smoking, alcoholism and drug addiction. A technique called ‘Battlefield Acupuncture’ was developed by the American Medical Corps in order to treat phantom pain from ampututated limbs and is extremely useful in general pain reduction.

I am also interested in combating the signs of ageing and so further studies have included courses in Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture at the Healing and Acupuncture College in Brighton and at the White Lotus Anti-Ageing Clinic with Anthony Kingston of Australia and Rhada Thambirajah who has published several books on facial and general acupuncture.

Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture is the newest method of wrinkle reduction using wholly natural methods, bringing nutrients and energy to the areas of the face that need them most. This stimulates collagen production, helping to fill in fine lines and wrinkles. The results achieved after a course of 6 – 10 treatments can be maintained by monthly top up sessions. This method of wrinkle reduction is a good alternative to using fillers and muscle paralysers and can help the process of weaning off the use of these chemicals.
