I provide Massage and EMMETT Technique treatments for adults, young people and children to help promote health, relaxation and wellbeing. I am registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists and am on the Professional Standards Authority accredited register.

I have worked within the NHS for over 25 years as an Occupational Therapist. This has given me a wide experience working with adults and children who have a range of difficulties and communication needs. I bring this therapeutic experience with me when working with people coming for relief of specific aches, pains and movement restrictions and those wanting treatments for calming and relaxation for a pamper or for stress relief.

The EMMETT Technique uses light finger pressure on specific places on the body, triggering a relaxation response in the soft tissues. People who have had this treatment often report feelings of improved comfort in the area treated such as in Neck, shoulders, arms and hands; Back, hips and abdomen; Legs, knees, ankles and feet ; and following the Lymphatic procedure clients describe feeling more relaxed and enjoy improved sleep.

People often report improved sleep after an EMMETT treatment, feelings of relaxation and lightness within the body.

The EMMETT Technique can be used as a stand-alone therapy or combined with a massage. The treatment can be done standing, sitting or lying down. It can be done directly on the body or through light clothing.

Massage is a safe and natural method of using touch to soothe, relax and stimulate the body for adults, young people and children. Massage can ease tension and stress and promote feelings of well-being. The treatment can be completed lying on a massage couch for a full or half body massage or seated for a soothing hand, foot or head and shoulders massage. Massage oils or wax are used during the treatment. You will need to remove some of your clothing so the area being treated can receive the massage. Your modesty is respected at all times.

I continue my work as an Occupational Therapist in the NHS and as an NHS employee working with vulnerable people I have an Enhanced DBS certificate.
